Oh, Just “Bag It” …

Cute saying, but more importantly, has a nugget of pure wisdom:

We all have some combination of luck and experience.  The real challenge is to diminish our reliance on luck, while building our reliance on experience.

Another question is what types of bags you fill.  Some folks fill travel bags, while others shop for bargains.   Most of the time, we decide both what kind of bags we drag around AND what goes into those bags.

You can’t keep groceries in a garment bag.  Well, you can, but it’s not the best choice for the task.  Think carefully about the choices you are making about the kinds of bags you are using to create your existence.

Then there’s that whole discussion about how you stack what you put in your bag.  What heavier and sturdier stuff goes on the bottom to support the lighter stuff on top?   Do you include a balance of healthy and fun things?  Did you remember the staples or get carried away by the smells in the bakery?

Old wisdom about packing for travel:  Pack twice as much money and half as many clothes.  Works well for life in general, at least in my experience:)

Parting Shot:  In a world of constant and fast-paced change, how valuable is experience?
