Purple Pride …

Truman National Spirit Day October 3 2014

Even though they changed the name of my first alma mater (BSE 1971, MA `980), I still have the feeling …

Remembering an excellent public education and some fine times in K’ville, back when the school was Northeast Missouri State University.

Thinking purple today, even if I’m not wearing purple in the Heartland …. Go, Bulldogs!

NOTICE OF RELOCATION …

Strategic Learning Group LLC announces relocation of world headquarters …

In order to more fully use corporate resources, maintain our high level of employee engagement and motivation, and create the most effective corporate image, our organization has decided to move operations to a more conducive environment.  Here’s the view from my new officeSmile.

This move has already proved successful in improving work productivity and creating a renewed sense of energy among our employees.

On the other hand, we did not feel like fixing the above photo to recreate the beautiful blue sky that we can see from the corporate headquarters.  If you want to see what we see, you need to come to Missouri.

Working hard and enjoying the day in the Heartland ….

Corporate Business Meeting …

Attending a strategic planning meeting at the current world headquarters of my organization today …

Don’t worry … I’m on an expense accountSmile.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for creativity, for mental health, or just for the heck of it is to get away.

You should try this:  Lay on the grass in the shade, watch the clouds form endless variations, and listen to the breeze.

I may not be productive at the moment, but I am definitely gearing up to be so in the future.

I will rest now to work harder later …

I will clear my mind now to better fill it in the future …

I will pay attention to my “now”, so I am more aware later …

I will relax now and I will also be more relaxed tomorrow …

Taking a little break now will pay big dividends later.  This is what makes relaxation and mindfulness both a healthy thing to do and a good business decision.

Taking a little break for all the right reasons in the Heartland ….
