Sharing: “Farewell to my daughter Kate, who died on Christmas day”

This was not easy to read, but it provides perspective around a difficult subject, and ultimately teaches us about life, rather than death.

Effective and powerful writing example ffrom one of my “Daily Must Read” sources follows:

  2. You’re right. Tough to read, but harder to write, I’m sure. Having lost a daughter when she was just past age 38, I know what mom was going through. While Christmas won’t forever be ruined, there will never be a Christmas or other family event when she is not missed. Losing someone we love is one of the deeply sad experiences of a defective world. My hope is in the eternal.
