National Pi Day–March 14



Pi is the  ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter and this knowledge is widely used throughout mathematics.  Pi is represented often by a Greek letter , which vaguely resembles a small tab with one really curved leg.   That’s the symbol in the middle.

In honor of Pi Day, so designated by the U. S. House of Representatives in 2009,  I would like to share the following sentiment:

Said by one very disappointed farmer father to his college graduate son, who was showing off his new learning.   Maybe the value of learning is in your perspective.
