Moments …

We strategize …

We toil …

… and while we are doing all that, life is happening.

Happy Child

Consider the example of very small children, who in my experience, show great joy upon spotting a familiar face.  They enter a family gathering beaming and their faces almost explode with happiness upon seeing you.

Of course, this makes forgiving them for various child sins later on, when they are cranky and tired.  At that moment, the most important thing in the world is their reaction to seeing you.

They are living the moment and so should you.

If you have children in your life, enjoy these moments.

If you do not have children in your life, go get some.  Find children who need an adult presence and be that difference in their lives.  Give them the gift of being overjoyed to see someone.

… Don’t miss the moment.

Taking the time to enjoy the moments in the Heartland ….
